POSTED 1 – our selection

Artists names will be added to these images, and all images, on the 18th June – the same day the posters go up in each venue

  1. I congratulate the decision makers: I think it is very difficult to be part of a jury and to take a decision. In this type of project, maturity and experience sometimes give an injust side to the decision. Impartiallity in its reality does not exist. We are all bonded by our backgrounds. I appreciate all the images and I am specially touched by three works:
    1) Horse and Video, confrontation between past and modernism from natural to technology. For me, one does not function without the other. The point is to know how to find the right balance and it is what I feel through the image of this concept. And with much humour or derision. So,horsie, tell me a story? You have a hard time to speak!
    2) Amnesic: it is threatening to get rid of one’s past, we are all marked by something. To break the ice wall between one’s own reality and Reality. It is better, many times, to be Amnesic or Autistic.
3)The two spheres of my brain are disturbing me: I have not found yet the direct way between the two. I have not found yet where to tip the scale. All is subjective! This concept is very strong (Antonin Artaud,Michaud,Bukovski…)
(“Les Contes de la Folie Ordinaire” Bukovski/Ferreri)
Sorry, I would like to make comments on all the images of the display. Thank you.

  2. Gary Farrelly

When do we find out who produced what?!

  3. Patience, you shall find out on the 18th june – until then, any comments on the images??

  4. Hi
I love the concept of this project, but why aren’t any of the artists attributed? You say 18th June, but it’s now a good deal after that, I think that if you are using other people’s works you should be attributing them.
Would be good to respect the artists you’re publishing!

  5. Thanks Jenny, if you hover the mouse over any image on this page you will see the artist name and image title (if titled). From there, it’s your choice to look them up. Any comments on the images?

  6. ‘Look them up’ – you mean google them?
Some are coming up some are coming up as pic dimensions and pretty obscure titles, these are just the file names.
Some of the images are great, some not served well by the bad pixelation.
My beef isn’t with the art which is of course varied I’m just sick of seeing websites presenting artists work badly. Sorry but there it is.

  7. This is only a view of everything that has been sent in to us for the project – POSTED 1. Why we kept the images small is to get around the possibility of people trying to print of the images off, and the copy right should definitely be kept with the artist. Sorry our web page isn’t the best. We actually just got funding this morning from the arts council so a brand new one is now on the cards.
    Thank you,
